During the weekend at Bukom square was a spectacle to behold as energy-filled music trio – Dunsin caused thousands of fans and industry players to go crazy on their feet all through their performance.
The “f3f33f3” hit makers, who mounted the stage right after S.P Kofi Sarpong had given his grand, opening performance, took the show to another level beyond expectation. Dunsin, clad in white shirt, black pants and “afro Moses” sandals had their usual sewing machines on their shoulders as they mounted the stage amidst chants and roars from the fans who have missed seeing them do their thing on stage right from their “oy3 adi3 yie” days.
Dunsin started off with their smash hit – “Oy3 adi3 yie”, coupled with choreography. This got every single soul around singing along with joy and great energy. They followed this up with their “falaa” tune and by the time they dropped the latest banger – “f3f33f3” which is fast becoming the biggest highlife tune in the country, the whole Bukom Square was charged. It was as if they had instructed the crowd to sing for a fee. Fans couldn’t help but join them sing the song word for word from start to finish.
They rounded their performance up with a short tribute to the late Daasebr3 Dwamena and walked of the stage amidst rapturous applause from all and sundry. What happened at the Bukom square during Nii Funny’s Homowo event last night clearly shows that Ghanaians have accepted Dunsin back into the ever growing music race.
