The bitter experiences from the Managers, Bloggers, Sound Engineers and DJ’s.

Over the years, artists are picked by people who believed in their dreams, invested in their talent hoping to gain in future. But What do we see now? You get to limelight and forget who made you…..This is  what people refer to as ‘ SELLOUTS’ and its common with Ghana Music; they sellout to become popular. (BullDog of BullHaus has really suffered from this backlashes)

You start your own management, build your own studio and think you got a ‘record label” DAMN!!!! You got it all wrong, try read more about what is called ‘record label’ and a ‘management firm. My dear upcoming artistes, people are not really supporting because of the ungrateful nature of your fellow artistes.

*CHARACTER
Respect is a master key in showbiz, because you don’t know who might help you one day. You can have the money, but if you don’t have the right team who knows a lot about music & showbiz you wont go far. Because if you don’t have the links and connections, you cant get the best gigs.(And of course if Music was all about money, ARA-B should be a mega superstar worldwide, lol)

*BRANDING*
Don’t copy someones style, be unique in your own way so people can recognize you, your genre of music, your voice and your stage craft got to be unique, it has to be yours, not someones duplicate.

*PUBLICITY
Uploading songs on hulkshare & co does not get you far, promotion is beyond that and you got to invest in it. Payola is a token to motivate djs,  and when the song is good, do you think they will demand from you everyday? Some cant even do photoshoot to promote their  image out there. You cant even make nice cover arts for your songs and you claim you are an artiste?
*By the way, when bloggers post tracks from Sark, Shatta or Stonebwoy, they make money indirectly from them because people will download more than yours so they get more traffic; and also, some big artistes pay bloggers and Djs for their hardwork, so please don’t be asking if Sarkodie or Shatta Wale pays for his songs to be their websites.

*YOUR ROOTS
As an upcoming artiste, your stronghold got to be where you reside, your hood, So you have to show them much LOVE & RESPECT  that is when they gonna FIGHT and DIE for you. After all this ask yourselves… Why should they sign you? Why should they invest in you? Will you be loyal and trustworthy in the future?

I HOPE THIS LETTER GETS TO THE UPCOMING ARTISTES AND ALL WHO ARE RELATED, and Please share if its worth it. Thank you.
